Immigration in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA)
An interesting article in today's Toronto Star reveals some surprising statistics regarding the immigration population in the area. According to this article, half of the residents of Toronto are foreign born. 20% of the overall population of Canada are foreign born. I can attest to the amazing diversity of people that I have seen in downtown Toronto, whenever I've gone down there during my current job search. According to the article, a majority of the immigrants are either from China or India and immigrant services are being strained. I think that it's safe to say that Toronto is one of the most diverse cities in the world. As it turns out, Canada needs these immigrants due to the fact that the workforce is aging and they will be facing a shortage of skilled workers in a few years. Anyway, check out the article and an editorial comment at:

Pics of House and Neighbourhood
Here are the last pictures of the house from the last roll of film. I have included a couple of shots of what the neighbourhood looks like down the street from the house. As you can see, it's a bit of a mess. The brick is starting to go up. Right at this moment (and I just took more pictures today), the front of the house has been bricked and we actually have a house number now ! So we are getting closer and closer !
